Located in the heart of the Tatra Mountains near Zakopane, known as the ‘winter capital of Poland’, Nosalowy Dwór Resort & Spa is a skier’s paradise. It has grown from small beginnings in 2001 into a comprehensive hotel complex. Situated just 100 metres from the Nosal mountain’s ski slopes, it also caters for families, business travellers and guests who just want rest and relaxation.

“When we first opened, our resort only had a few regional restaurants and a small hotel,” explains Wojciech Budzowski, general director of Nosalowy Dwór Resort & Spa. “Guests loved it for its excellent food and its friendly, unique atmosphere. It grew more and more popular.

“We went from being a small hotel to the biggest resort in the region, with a unique infrastructure that appeals to both individual guests and big groups of visitors,” he adds. Nosalowy Dwór now includes four luxury buildings, with 400 bedrooms to accommodate more than 1,200 people.

Edyta Rogóż, Nosalowy Dwór’s front desk manager, confirms how payment solutions from Elavon help keep guests happy. “Pre-authorisation and check-in are quick, so guests aren't left queuing,” she says, “and guests from abroad can choose to pay in złoty or in their home currency with Dynamic Currency Conversion [DCC].”

“Visitors can use a contactless card or their smartphone to pay, and they can also add a tip on the payment terminal,” he continues. “Our solutions from Elavon not only support the staff working at our hotel or spa, at reception desks and in our restaurants, but they also help us make smart business decisions. We use the Elavon Connect portal, which means details about all card payments taken across the resort are stored in one place.” 

Elavon customers can login to access this secure online platform from anywhere, at any time, to manage payments, transactions and reports.

“We can create reports and analysis on an ongoing basis, and this helps a lot in making business decisions,” Wojciech continues. "Since we’ve been working with Elavon, the number of chargeback complaints has also decreased.”
