In September 2022, five bright and ambitious university graduates joined the very first intake of the Elavon Europe Early Careers Programme. Based in our offices in Ireland and the UK, they took a bold step into their futures – and into history – by becoming our inaugural graduate class. Today, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate their achievements, their journeys and their decision to continue their careers with U.S. Bank.
These graduates have contributed to key areas of the bank, working across Technology, Marketing, Commercial Banking, Finance and Corporate Trust. Through a series of meaningful rotations, they’ve developed real-world experience, sharpened their professional skills and helped shape the future of banking from within. From day one, they’ve been embedded in teams that value innovation, collaboration and impact.
All five graduates have now successfully completed the programme and have accepted full-time positions with Elavon. This is more than a milestone; it’s a testament to their talent, their growth and the strength of a programme designed to build careers that last.

Alice Kivali concentrated on gaining experience in the Marketing team. She had already heard about the exceptional employee culture from a relative who had previously worked at Elavon, and was drawn to the idea of working for a company with a strong standing in the fintech industry. So, when she spotted the graduate programme on LinkedIn, she leapt at the chance to apply.

At U.S. Bank, we believe that early careers should be more than just a stepping stone. That’s why our programme offers hands-on experience from day one, access to mentorship from global leaders and rotations that help graduates discover where their passions and talents intersect. Since its launch in 2022, the Early Careers Programme has expanded to include Poland, Spain and Luxembourg. With several summer interns, graduates and degree apprentices joining us to date, U.S. Bank in Europe combines the strength of a top US financial institution with a fresh, agile and inclusive culture. We’re proud of our roots – and even more excited about the future we’re building together.
Joan Morgan, head of recruitment at Elavon Europe (pictured), says: "The launch of our Early Careers Programme in the UK and Ireland marked a pivotal step in our talent strategy. We’re incredibly proud of the success it has achieved. Under the leadership of Amy Burton, our Early Careers Programme manager, the initiative has since expanded to Poland, Luxembourg and Spain – a testament to its strong foundations and growing impact across our European footprint.
"The feedback from both our internal stakeholders and our graduates has been overwhelmingly positive, with consistent praise for the calibre of talent, the structure of the programme and the lasting value it brings to the business," says Joan.
"Building on this momentum, we’re excited to explore the next phase of our strategy: opening up opportunities for high-school students through an apprenticeship pathway," she continues. "This will provide an alternative route into financial services, combining practical experience with a fully sponsored degree through the UK apprentice training levy — and reinforcing our commitment to inclusive, long-term talent development."
Now, as we look ahead, we’re growing our Early Careers Programme and inviting the next generation of ambitious graduates to join us. If you're curious, motivated and ready to make a difference, your journey could start right here.
