The first thing you will need to do before blocking any Card Ranges is to[1] log into your MyOpayo area as a user with administrative rights.
Now that you have logged into the account select the Settings tab, followed by restrictions. You will then be able block Card Ranges.
The card range is the first 9 numbers of a card, this specifies the card type, card number length, and the length of the issue number if the card has one.
You are able to use the card range to block any cards beginning with the same 9 numbers.
Once you have selected Restrictions, you will be taken to the main page where you can block the card ranges on your account.
Select Add on the Card Ranges frame, you will then be able to add the cards you wish to block.
You simply need to add the first 9 numbers of the card you would like to block into the box and select add. This will then add the card range into your blocked list.
After you have successfully blocked the card range it will appear in the Blocked Card Ranges list.
After you have successfully blocked the card range it will appear in the Blocked Card Ranges list.
If you want to remove a card number you have previously blocked you can do this by clicking the trashcan/rubbish bin to the right of the card range.
Once you have clicked the trashcan/rubbish bin you will simply be asked to confirm you would like to remove the card range from your blocked list.
Once you have confirmed you would like to remove this card range it will no longer appear in your blocked list and you can process transactions using this range.
If you have applied a restriction on your account you will not be able to perform any actions on transactions that have already been processed through your account.
Any actions such as refunds, or voids will need to have the restriction removed then re-apply this once the refund or void has been processed.
If you keep the restriction in place you will not be able to do this.
When setting up the security on your account you are able to block specific Card Issuing Countries from processing transactions through your account.
Once blocked any transactions attempted on your account from cards issued in these countries will be rejected without any funds being taken from the shopper.
A blocked card issuing country will reject any transactions that are attempted using a card that is issued from the country you have added to your list.
The first thing you will need to do before blocking any card issuing countries is to log into your MyOpayo area as a user with administrative rights.
Now that you have logged into the account select the Settings tab, followed by restrictions. You will then be able block specific card issuing countries.
We are able to block transactions from countries based on the card number that is being used.
Each card originates from a country and we use the first 9 digits of a card to verify the country it was issued in. Once the country has been added to the list we will then block any card ranges from the country you have selected.
Once you have selected Restrictions you will be taken to the main page where you can block the countries on your account.
Select Add on the Issuing Countries frame, you will then be able to add the countries you wish to block from the drop down list.
All you need to do is select the country from the drop down list to add them to the blocked list on your account. You are able to select multiple countries before clicking the Add button.
After you have successfully blocked a country it will appear in the Blocked Issuing Countries list.
If you want to remove an issuing country you have previously blocked you can do this by clicking the “trashcan/rubbish bin” to the right of the country you would like to remove.
Once you have clicked the “trashcan/rubbish bin” you will simply be asked to confirm you would like to remove the country from your blocked list.
Once you have confirmed you would like to remove this country it will no longer appear in your blocked list and you will be able to accept transactions from these countries again.
If you have applied a restriction on your account you will not be able to perform any actions on transactions that have already been processed through your account.
Any actions such as refunds, or voids will need to have the restriction removed then re-apply this once the refund or void has been processed.
If you keep the restriction in place you will not be able to do this.
The first thing you will need to do before blocking any IP addresses is to log into your MyOpayo area as a user with administrative rights.
Now that you have logged into the account select the Settings tab, followed by restrictions. You will then be able block IP addresses.
Once you have selected restrictions you will be taken to the main page where you can impose restrictions on your account.
Select add on the blocked IP addresses frame, you will then be able to add the IP address you wish to block.
You simply need to add the IP address you would like to block into the box along with a subnet mask and select add.
When entering the IP address please remember that it must be 12 numbers long separated into 4 banks of 3 numbers.
If the IP address you are adding is not this length you will need to pad this out with “0”s.
So, if the IP address you would like to block is – 123.12.123.23 you will need to pad this to – 123.012.123.023.
Always remember the “0”s go at the beginning of each bank of 3 you are padding.
A subnet mask allows you to block either a specific IP address or a range.
On our systems when adding IP addresses to block you must enter a subnet mask.
A subnet mask of 255.255.255.255 will block the exact IP address you have added, however a subnet mask of 255.255.255.000 will block any IP addresses with the same first 9 digits.
Usually you will only need to enter one of the above for your subnet mask.
After you have successfully blocked an IP address they will appear in a list form within the blocked IP Addresses frame.
If you want to remove an IP address you have previously blocked you can do this by clicking the “trashcan” to the right of the IP address.
Once you have clicked the “trashcan” you will simply be asked to confirm you would like to remove the IP address from your blocked list.
Once you have confirmed you would like to remove this IP it will no longer appear in your blocked IP addresses list.
