You're able to use the Shopify Shopping Cart platform alongside Opayo systems to process transactions. You just need to enable your Shopify Opayo plug in.
Any vendor with an Opayo account with an active ecommerce merchant ID can process payments through the Shopify system using the Opayo plug-in.
If you use the new Opayo plug-in you will be using our server integration to process transactions.
To authenticate on the plug-in sign up you will need to have your API key and password from your MyOpayo admin account.
In Shopify you will need to select the ‘settings’ icon and then select ‘Payments’ on the left-hand side.
Next you will need to select ‘add payment method.’
Search for ‘Opayo (previously SagePay)’
You will then have an option to install the plug in you will see the following two options to select.
You will then be prompted to authenticate using your API credentials (API key and password) from the Opayo admin account.
After authenticating your credentials there will be an option to activate Opayo.
Disclaimer - only card options on the gateway will be available for use. Adding or removing them from Shopify will not change your Opayo account. Please contact opayosupport@elavon.com for support with adding or removing payment types.
Once the new Opayo plug in is active shoppers will see the ‘Opayo previously SagePay’ and ‘Sagepay form’ option.
When the new plug-in is active and has been tested successfully you will then be able to ‘Deactivate’ and ‘Uninstall’ the old ‘SagePay form’ plug-in.
Please make sure you are confident the new plug in is working before deactivating the old plug-in.
