3 September 2026, Metro Bank has partnered with payments provider Elavon to help business customers take payments more easily, manage cashflow more effectively and deliver a smoother experience for their own customers. Through the partnership, Metro Bank business customers, from sole traders to large corporates, will be able to access secure and flexible payments technology across in-person, online and remote channels. Services include fixed and mobile card terminals, electronic point of sale systems (EPOS) and online and telephone payment services.

Partnering with Elavon means Metro Bank’s business customers can also access real-time insights and cashflow analysis through intuitive reporting tools and settlement options.

Philip Byrne, Head of Cards & Payments at Metro Bank, said: “Metro Bank is committed to helping business customers manage cashflow and support growth with practical, innovative tools. This partnership supports our relationship-led approach by combining trusted business banking support with practical digital tools that help customers run and grow their businesses, however their customers choose to pay. By offering an all-in-one system, customers can spend less time managing payments and more time running and growing their business.”

Andy Chave, Head of Small and Medium Businesses, UK and Ireland, at Elavon, said: “This partnership is underpinned by a shared ambition to support the growth of UK businesses of all sizes and deliver meaningful value for Metro Bank customers. By combining trusted banking relationships with secure, reliable and scalable payment capabilities, we aim to deliver a seamless experience. This is supported by a customer-centric service model, digital onboarding and self-serve tools, with expert support available when it matters most. Together, this enables us to support merchants throughout their full growth journey.”
